CFB KINGSTON – GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES



Reference: CFAO 209.28

GENERAL

1. IAW para 3 of ref, the geographical boundaries that constitute the place of duty for members of CFB Kingston is:

a. Northern Boundary: Highway 36 from Westport to junction Highway 7 (Sharbot Lake);

b. Western Boundary: Highway 7 (near Sharbot Lake) to Highway 15 (Arden), Highway 15/14 to Highway 41 (Napanee), Highway 8 (Napanee, including Highway 21) to Highway 33 (South);

c. Southeastern Boundary: Highway 33 (junction Highway 21) including Amherst Island, Wolfe Island, Howe Island to junction Highway 2, Highway 2 (including all islands north of USA/Canada borders) up to Mallorytown;

d. Northeastern Boundary: Highway 675 to Athens, Highway 42 to Westport; and

e. All municipalities on the boundary are encompassed in CFB Kingston’s boundary.



2. Personnel may reside outside of these boundaries with the BComd’s approval. Personnel who are so authorized will not be entitled to any benefits or allowances above that which they would receive if they lived within the geographical area of CFB Kingston. For example, a member whose principal place of duty is CFB Kingston, who is authorized to live within the geographical boundaries of Ottawa, will receive the Post Living Differential (PLD) for Kingston, not Ottawa.
