CFBKYC - VISITOR INFORMATION
Welcome to Canadian Forces Base Kingston Yacht Club
The Commodore and Members of CFB Kingston Yacht Club extend a warm welcome
and hospitality to all visitors from our reciprocal clubs. We hope your
stay with us will be both pleasant and memorable.
Please be advised that our clubhouse is undergoing repairs, in particular the bathroom and the roof. The construction is expected to be completed by mid-summer.
CHECKING IN TO THE CLUB
Visitors from reciprocal clubs
requiring guest dockage are requested to tie up temporarily
at the courtesy dock (located between the two principal docks) and check
in with the Duty Officer for slip assignment. The Duty Officer is on site
from 4 PM to 8 PM daily and visitors should plan their arrivals accordingly.
VISITING YACHT POLICY
The policy for visiting yachts from reciprocal clubs is reviewed annually
by the Executive Committee. The policy strives to be consistent with the
traditional values and customs associated with yachting. At the same time
it reflects the policies adopted by reciprocating clubs and other practical
considerations peculiar to CFBKYC. The current season policy is as follows:
Fees and Length of Stay: Visitors from reciprocal clubs
(Proof of membership in good standing is required) shall be accommodated
on the first night of each visit without charge. Second and third nights
will be subject to a $15 charge. The maximum stay is three nights.
Military Personnel: Canadian military personnel of the
Regular Force or members of the Reserve Force on full time Class B or
Class C call out will be accorded the same status as reciprocal visitors
when arriving by boat. A valid CF Identification Card is required.
Size Limitations: Because of our dock design limitations,
visiting yachts are limited to a maximum length of 33 feet and a maximum
weight of 14,000 pounds.
Slip Location: Visiting yachts will be accommodated
on a space available basis in the slips of absent CFBKYC yachts. In the
event of return of the owner of the slip, the visitor shall be moved,
if required.
CLUB SERVICES
Access to club services and facilities is provided to visiting members
of reciprocal clubs:
Clubhouse: The heated clubhouse contains a small kitchen
and lounge. The Duty Officer will provide access information.

bagging it and placing it in the dumpster located adjacent to the clubhouse.
The dumpster key is located on the key press in the Clubhouse. There are
no garbage containers in the lower compound or on the docks.

recycle bin in the Clubhouse.

both docks. Electricity is available to some slips. Extension cords may

CLUB CUSTOMS AND RULES

attention be paid to the security of the grounds, docks and clubhouse.
Please ensure that all gates and doors you use are closed and locked.
Help us to maintain good site security.
Alcohol: CFBKYC does not have a bar or liquor licence.
By both base and provincial regulation, open alcohol is not permitted
in the clubhouse, or on the grounds and docks.

hours are in force from 11 PM to 7 AM.
Children: Parents are responsible for their children
at all times.
Pets: Pets must be kept under control at all times.
Dogs must be leashed. A "poop and scoop" policy is in effect

Unattended Boats: As your boat may have to be moved,
it is important that you not leave the site for extended periods. Visitors
may not leave their boat unattended for any period longer than 6 hours.
Wherever possible, a cell phone number or contact number should be left
with the Duty Officer if visitors will be absent.
